Artificial Nails
Prosthetic nail application is a procedure applied to those who want to have beautiful nails for a long time and always look well-groomed, those who bite their nails, those whose nails grow slowly, and those whose nails break.
What is Artificial Nails?
Prosthetic nails are an application that can be done for treatment purposes as well as being preferred for beauty and care. Prosthetic nails eliminate the problem of deformed nail polish that needs to be constantly renewed, and offer the convenience of a bright, well-groomed appearance like the first day for 21 days. In this process, which takes an average of 2 hours, you can choose the shape and color you want, decorate it with nail art, and use it for an average of 21 days without any deterioration. Prosthetic nails are a nail extension process that can be done in the desired size and shape. You can make it look natural or you can benefit from unlimited designs and Nailarts in maximum sizes, completely according to your preference. Prosthetic nails are 4 times harder and harder to break than natural nails, so they are highly preferred.
How are prosthetic nails made and what are their types?
Prosthetic nails are made by specially trained certified experts using gel and acrylic materials. Prosthetic nail applications vary in terms of material and technique.
In terms of material, they are divided into three as gel, acrylic, polly gel / acrylic-gel. All materials have various colors.
In terms of application technique, they are divided into two as template and type. Although we have seen that it can be applied with many different materials recently, the main thing is to extend it by adding it to the tip of the nail or by providing mold support under it.
Which of the materials is good and durable depends on the quality of the products used and the application technique. The most preferred material type is nail gel material due to its flexible structure, brightness and odorlessness, it can also be seen with names such as gel nails and gel prosthesis.
Gel Nail: It is the most preferred material type. We apply gel the most due to the shiny appearance of the gel, its odorlessness, color alternatives and durability. These are applications made by shaping the gel material specially produced for prosthetic nail application on the nail. It has a thinner layer and a more natural look compared to other applications.
Acrylic Nails: Acrylic nail material has a powder-like structure and solidifies and takes shape with an acrylic liquid and its much-talked-about irritating smell is actually due to the acrylic liquid. We can sometimes come across this application, whose general name is prosthetic nails, also referred to as Acrylic nails with material names.
Polly Gel - Acrylic Gel: Polly gel, which is an alternative to acrylic material, a recent trend, and defined as a new and easy material, is another type of material.
Now let's look at the answers to frequently asked questions:
Prosthetic nails and gel nails are the same process.
Prosthetic nails and permanent nail polish are different processes. If you want to extend the length of your nails or change their shape, prosthetic nails; if you want your own natural nails to look colorful, shiny and well-groomed at their current length, permanent nail polish should be preferred. Prosthetic nail application requires serious hand workmanship and takes an average of 2 hours, while permanent nail polish application takes an average of 40 minutes since it is applied to your own nails and no extension process is done.
Permanent nail polish and gel nail polish: Gel material is a material we use in making prosthetic nails and has a denser structure than permanent nail polishes. It is generally a suitable application for those who are happy with their natural nail length but prefer a thicker and harder nail care than permanent nail polish.
Micro manicure: The application techniques of permanent nail polishes have also improved a lot recently. This manicure, which we call micro manicure, is done with a dry and special manicure device and when combined with the nail strengthening process, a much more detailed permanent nail polish application emerges. You can request a nail strengthening application from our salons for these new applications that make your nail size look longer and fuller and protect your nails twice as much. Nail strengthening applications protect your nail with the rubber structure of the material used and camouflage any deformation on your nail.
How long can prosthetic nails be used and do they damage natural nails?
-
As long as periodic prosthetic nail care is done (this period is three weeks on average), it can be used for as long as desired and can be removed whenever the person wishes.
-
It is important that the specialist performing the application is sufficiently knowledgeable and professional. If the preparation and removal process is done correctly, prosthetic nails or permanent nail polish will not damage the natural nail. The important thing in prosthetic nail application is the preparation and removal phase, which is in contact with the natural nail. During the preparation phase, the natural nail must be degreased. Excessive filing or not choosing the right file during this purification process will damage the natural nail. The removal process should also be done with a file. This filing process should be done on the prosthetic nail. Files and heads differ as you get closer to the natural nail. If an electronic file or some heads that are not suitable for the natural nail are used, it will also damage the nail.

Nail Art
Nail Art, which means nail decoration art in Turkish, is an application that allows nails to be decorated with patterns and thus look beautiful. The application, which has started to attract a lot of attention especially in recent times and has come to the fore with different designs by many women, has also managed to enter the trends by making nails look more well-groomed and attractive. With these techniques, which are carried out with the help of various brushes and pens, geometric patterns, floral patterns, dot patterns or other designs of your dreams can be reflected on the nails.
In order to ensure permanence in nail art, Top Coat nail polish, which has a fast drying feature, is used. This application increases the protection of the design and makes it more protected against external factors. After the Top Coat nail polish dries, it is recommended to keep the nails in a bowl of cold or ice-filled water for a few minutes, thus ensuring the most permanent dryness and durability.
